My goal is to create a unique experience for everyone that steps in front of my camera. I put tons of effort into everything that I do, from the first time you talk to me to the end of the shoot, to create images that you are proud to display.
Photography’s purpose is to capture. Capture light, capture moments and most importantly, capture to preserve. In an effort to truly capture, or to capture truly, I strive to study light, predict moments and foster relationships to create beautiful, authentic images for you. So we can create real images of the real you.
Because the nature of creating portraits is a very personal thing, our sessions begin at the planning stages. Here we can discuss what you believe your images should convey. I take the time to get to know my clients. So from color pallets to what to wear, I want to know what your dreams are so I make them come through to the final images.
I like to keep things laid back and relaxed so that I can get the very best. After planning, our session should be enjoyable and fun. It should feel more like a walk in the park than a visit to your local portrait studio. No rush and no lines.
When we meet to view your portraits, I always have a token of my appreciation. After all, you did choose me to be your photographer and you did let me peer through a window into your world. Together we get to reminisce about our session because we did truly did create a new memory. I will help you choose the best images for your walls and albums.
From our clients:
“I had the pleasure of working with Emilie for my senior high school portraits, and cannot describe the fantastic job she did. First off, Emilie does an amazing job at incorporating the passions and personality of the person she is photographing into her picture. I really appreciated that she started out beforehand with a game plan for the shoot, helping me realize small details I wanted but wouldn’t have known to ask for otherwise. She understands that the camera sees differently than the human eye, yet still is able to capture moments that look like they could be straight out of a memory. I look forward to working with her when I need more professional photos done in the future.”
“Emilie was an absolute pleasure to work with. Completely professional with a great eye for capturing beauty everywhere. She set up a charming tea party in the woods for portraits of my 5-year-old daughter and myself – the candid shots are something I still treasure. My daughter felt completely at ease, which made the whole experience fun and easy. Rather than feeling uncomfortable having portraits made, she has a way of disarming you so that the photos she captures show the joy of the moment. I highly recommend her for anyone who wants real, honest, beautiful pictures of friends and family.”
“Emilie s a gifted photographer blessed with an artistic eye and endless patience. She has been photographing my kids since they were babies and I cherish the memories she’s captured on film. You won’t be disappointed!”
“Working with Emilie was a great experience. She is professional, prompt, and respectful of wishes. She knows how to work with kids and getting them to smile and pose and laugh to get great photos. Highly recommend working with Emilie!”
